This song is a re-write of a 2000s song called Cracks in the Pavement.

While Sydney was in the middle of a massive covid lockdown, we talked about rewriting this song and sent ideas back and forth by phone. Originally, the ideas we had were pretty cynical, a product of being stuck in our homes for 23 hours per day.

As the re-write progressed though, we decided to make the song uplifting, an empowering lyric, so it became Higher Calling.
